This wine is a cocktail of tropical fruits, displaying citrus, melons and a hint of honey flavours to the nose. The palate is soft and refreshing with a nice even balanced finish.

A perfect blend of two classic varieties, it exhibits a medium straw green colour with a citrus and melon palate. Sweet, floral nose with grassy and tropical hints. Zesty, rich fruit-laden and delicately textured palate, finishing long and crisp.

Our 2004 Alpine Valley Merlot is a vibrant red cherry in colour and displays a dense nose of berries, plum and green bell pepper. Allow it to sit and open out, where you will be rewarded with a hint of delicious chocolate and mint.

The palate shows great fruit sweetness and depth, with fine tannins and a medium intensity leading to a clean and smooth finish.

This wine has great balance between appearance, aroma, taste and texture. All seem to work together to create a delicious, well structured wine.

This Merlot can be put down for 5 years+, however, despite its cellaring ability it is very approachable now.

To be enjoyed on its own or accompanied with BBQ lamb chops and a mint sauce.

The ruby red liveliness of the wine translates perfectly to aromas exhibiting an abundance of superb ripe plum characters and white pepper. The benefit of the wine's 12 months in baroque are apparent with hints of vanillan oak and cigar-box to further enhance the wine's complexity.

The soft tannin and velvety mouth feel combine to produce a well balanced, even structured wine. Initially evident on the mid-palate, the wine spreads evenly over the back palate, leaving a persistent finish and lasting impression of a well rounded red.

Our favourite of the mid-range wines and available in limited quanties, the 2002 Alpine Valley Shiraz Cabernet Merlot is a superb blend of three great varieties.

The nose displays intense fruit flavours of plum and wild berries, combining to provide an intense fruit driven red with a unique complexity provided by 12 months in oak.

The maturity of the wine provides a palate showing great depth and coverage, and the soft tannins and velvety mouth feel lead to a long rewarding finish.

This wine has great balance and elegance where all three varieties seem to work well together to create a delicious, well structured wine.

This blended beauty can be put down for up to 5 years, or enjoyed now, as it is already approaching it's peak.

Our premium quality wine is produced in the warmer central region of Victoria, Australia.

The vines are handpicked and pruned to yield 1.5 tonne of fruit per acre, and the wine is made using traditional wine making techniques, such as open vat fermenters, hand plunging and 12 months barrel fermentation in oak.

The wines are handmade in small batches to ensure consistency and quality in every bottle. The result is an excellent, rich red wine exhibiting intense blackberry, cherry and plum flavours. The soft smooth tannin and blend of the two grape varieties provide a superb balance and lovely lingering finish.
